OUR STORY
Based from the centre of Newcastle, A Kenny Film is passionate about bringing about a revolution by our documentaries. We were founded on the principles that films can be made to encourage change.
When we’re not working on documentaries we help businesses and musicians in the North East. By using the same techniques used in making our documentaries we make compelling and entertaining films that will help people and businesses reach their potential. We hold all the tools required to go from pre-production to delivery.
A Kenny Film was founded by David Kenny in 2017; he graduated in 2013 from Sunderland University with a degree in digital film production. For his dissertation, he directed and edited a short documentary called ‘Keroche’ set in Kenya about a football team who were backed by Sunderland AFC fans…. 4000+ miles away. During university, he jointly ran a successful small business called The Unlikely Lads, where he worked with a wide range of clients from nightclub promoters to local charities like Show Racism the Red Card. He has since worked for football clubs Sunderland AFC and Gateshead FC and most recently at the Newcastle Chronicle, the North East’s biggest newspaper. David is passionate about politics and human-interest stories.
